As a result of government measures to combat COVID-19 clubs and groups in Diamond Harbour are cancelling all meetings and events until further notice.
The Diamond Harbour Library, the Community Hall (including the Green Room and Veranda Room) are all closed.
Christchurch City Council announcement
The health and wellbeing of our community and staff is our highest priority, along with supporting our city to continue to function in these challenging times.
So to support the Government’s efforts to fight COVID-19, we are closing all our Council facilities from 4pm Saturday 21 March.
This includes libraries, pools and recreation centres, service centres, community facilities, the Christchurch Art Gallery and all our visitor’s centres in gardens and regional parks.
Parish of Mount Herbert announcement
We have been instructed by the Diocese that across New Zealand Anglican churches will not be open for public worship from Monday 23 March.
We must honour and respect not only what our Archbishops have, with great difficulty, decided, but also to listen to the government and the directives they are giving. Please, please stay at home as much as possible and completely if you are in a high risk group.
Over the next week we will be deciding how best to offer pastoral care and support the unwell in our communities. We will be live streaming a service each Sunday morning until we are able to gather again and will make available resources to read along with the live feed via email and our website.
