Coffee Morning Fundraisers

Every couple of months there will be an opportunity to hear an interesting speaker at Stoddart Cottage, along with enjoying a coffee or tea and a snack and a chat with others. Our invited speakers will sometimes be from the art world but not always. All sorts of topics will be covered.
In the past in Christchurch we have heard from a lawyer talking about making a will, various artists including printmakers and painters, overseas aid workers social workers involved with helping to house the homeless, a neo natal nurse and many others. It’s always interesting and makes for a very pleasant morning.
Our first guest speaker will be Celia Wilson from Oxford who is a paper and print maker and will be showing us how she makes her own paint from rocks and natural pigments. I’ve seen Celia demonstrate this before and it is fascinating.
The cost is $10. per person paid in cash at the time or by banking online beforehand. All funds raised go to Artists Against Slavery (AAgS) which is a New Zealand registered charity raising funds to help fight the global human trafficking epidemic. AAgS take no administration fees whatsoever from any money raised.
