Community members and interested groups are invited to attend a presentation by Te Pā o Rākaihautū about its interest in the Hunters Road land at Diamond Harbour.
Te Pā o Rākaihautū is a Māori medium learning village supported by local rūnanga and iwi that has been working with the Ministry of Education to find a permanent site since 2015.
This will be an opportunity to learn first-hand about Te Pā o Rākaihautū, its aspirations, special character and connection with the area.
As a Section 156 designated character school, culture and identity, whānau, the environment and place-based learning are at its core.
There will be an opportunity for questions following the presentation.
If you’re interested in finding out more about Te Pā go to rakaihautu.com.
