Music the In Crowd | Live at the Point
February 10 @ 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm
FreeAn impressive lineup of artists below for this coming Live at the Point music event.
The In Crowd have always been a ‘band of friends’ playing music for the enjoyment of others. Formed approximately 10 years ago as a three piece to play a birthday party and a Christmas party, the band has evolved through various combinations into the current seven piece band. Still the same ethic applies; play great upbeat music and to give people a fun time and get them up
and dancing.
The current line up consists of a traditional four piece soul / funk of guitar, bass, drums and vocals combined with a three piece brass section. The two blend together seamlessly to deliver groove-laden soul, funk and pop /rock music for wide range of age groups. The In Crowd specialize in two styles of music: brass driven soul and funk from both the States and the UK and classic
Kiwi/Australian pop / rock.
With a very capable and entertaining lead guitar trading solos with the brass, the two main singers swapping parts and harmonies, all driven by a strong
groove-focused rhythm unit, our audiences are definitely entertained while they dance. The In Crowd choose songs that they enjoy playing but are well
known so that their audience constantly feel involved and happy. With three Kiwis, three Brits and a young lady born in Botswana there is a diverse wealth of musical taste and experience within in the band. For the last few years the gigs have been functions such as weddings, birthdays, corporate
parties, Christmas functions, sports club social evenings and pubs.
