The Mount Herbert Friendship Club is a group of active retirees, mixed men and women who meet monthly at the Charteris Bay Golf Club at 10am for 2 hours to share friendship and fellowship and learn something interesting and useful.
We have more than 70 members and average about 40 at our meetings.
On 4 October our mini-speaker (one of our members) will be John Richardson and our main speaker will be John Scott, previously head of ARA – an educationalist, sculptor with interesting experiences in the Middle East who will be talking on “Living though an Arab Spring”.
Our 1 November mini-speaker will be Tom Kuenning and main speaker Alex Hichmough who will speak about her Red Cross and World Vision experiences
6 December is our Club Christmas Dinner at the Rossendale Function Centre.
